Samantha Wickramasinghe

was born in Perth, Australia, and began studying violin at five. She appeared frequently in concerts and festivals and master classes in Western Australia and aged fourteen was state finalist in the Australian Young Performers' Awards. Samantha was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music where she studied under Lydia Mordokovitch and has performed solo and as part of her quartet 4tune across the South-East of England. She now plays in the Southbank Sinfonia.
